Services and their price provided by the unit:
The Environmental Pollution Information Department of the CSO provides such services:
- calculated background concentrations of chemicals in watercourses at the request of consumers to calculate the maximum permissible discharges of pollutants into water bodies with return water (based on observations on the monitoring network of hydrometeorological organizations);
- data on air, surface water, and soil pollution based on the observation network of hydrometeorological organizations for the period specified by the consumer.
The cost of services is determined in accordance with the existing calculations.
Services of the Laboratory
The main activities of the laboratory are the following: determination of
- heavy metals (cadmium, manganese, copper, nickel, lead, zinc)
- mechanical composition and acidity;
- organochlorine pesticides (DDT, DDE, alpha- and gamma-COCG);
- nitrates.
The laboratory determines heavy metals (cadmium, manganese, copper, nickel, lead, zinc, chromium and iron) in air aerosols.
The Laboratory can conduct sampling both on its own and by the customer (or use sampling conducted by the Hydrometeorological Service).
The information required by the authorities, the SES of Ukraine, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and consumers is provided by the head of the laboratory with a cover letter from the CPO signed by one of the CPO managers with appropriate registration in the CPO outgoing correspondence log.
Information on the progress and results of the research is confidential.
The head of the laboratory shall be responsible for compliance with the confidentiality regime. The Head of the Laboratory provides information required by the authorities, the Ministry of Environment and consumers.

The levels of air pollution are provided daily at 4 stations in Kyiv - the most polluted places are Bessarabska Square (PSZ No. 7) and Demiivska Square (PSZ No. 20), Popudrenka Street (PSZ No. 3) - the left bank and Nauky Avenue, and the green zone of the city near the observatory site (PSZ No. 5).

- Determination of pesticide content
- Determination of the content of pollutants of anthropogenic origin (petroleum products, phenols, surfactants, compounds of biogenic elements)
All materials are provided in a format convenient for the Customer.
