About the weather results of the calendar spring in the capital
The Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky reports that according to observations of the combined hydrometeorological station Kyiv, the average monthly air temperature for the calendar spring was 10.4°C, which is 1.0°C above the climatic norm. This year's spring was among the twenty warmest in the capital since 1881 observations. The spring months, except for April, were warmer than normal in Kyiv. March had the largest positive deviation - 4.2°C. In total, only three temperature records were registered in the capital during the spring in May. The coldest day of the spring was March 1, when the temperature dropped to -1.6°C, and the warmest was May 6, when the air temperature rose to 29.9°C. This calendar spring, 98 mm of precipitation fell, which is 67% of the climatic norm.
